The RETRO-Classic® LED retrofit kit is a CSA-listed lighting solution designed to convert inefficient incandescent fixtures to energy-efficient LED technology while preserving the existing fixture design. For the Charleston Gaillard Center, Canto USA customized the RETRO system to work with the venue’s decorative fixtures, using laser-cut aluminum mounting plates and pineapple-style diffusers.
RETRO-Classic® technology supports smooth 0–100% dimming through compatible existing dimming systems. Kits are available for recessed and pendant-style fixtures, with standard and custom mounting options that allow the LED components to be adapted to a wide variety of architectural applications.
The RETRO-Classic® 700, RETRO-Classic® 500, and RETRO-Classic® 300 are engineered to deliver more light than many of the incandescent lamps they replace while requiring substantially less power. The 700, 500, and 300 models operate at loads of approximately 72, 49, and 30 watts respectively, helping reduce energy use while retaining the character and function of existing fixtures.
