RETRO-Passive® 500 LED Retrofit Installation

The RETRO-Passive® 500 is a CSA-listed LED retrofit kit designed to convert inefficient incandescent fixtures to energy-efficient LED technology without requiring complete fixture replacement. Its compact retrofit design allows existing recessed and pendant fixtures to be upgraded while preserving the original architectural appearance of the lighting system.
RETRO-Passive® technology supports smooth 0–100% dimming through compatible existing dimming equipment. Installation is designed to be straightforward, helping reduce labor, disruption, and the expense associated with replacing entire fixtures. Canto USA LED technology also produces even fields of light and consistent color throughout the illuminated space.
The RETRO-Passive® 500 is engineered to deliver more light than many of the 500-watt incandescent lamps it replaces while operating with only a 49-watt load. For the Musical Instrument Museum installation, 29 RETRO-Passive® 500 units were configured at 2700K to create warm illumination appropriate for the museum environment.
