Marietta, GA — At LDI 2019, Canto USA previewed the RETRO-HPL retrofit kit, part of the RETRO Series and designed to replace HPL 575 lamps in existing PAR fixtures.
The RETRO-HPL retrofit kit provides direct LED replacement options for theatrical and house PAR fixtures while preserving a fixture’s original appearance and mounting. It is CSA listed and intended to retrofit existing Source Four® PAR fixtures commonly used for house lights and theatrical installations.
Available RETRO-HPL configurations
- RETRO-HPL 500: 6,200 lumens at 49 watts
- RETRO-HPL 700: 8,200 lumens at 72 watts
- RETRO-HPL 1000: 10,500 lumens at 91 watts

Installation overview
- Remove the original HPL lamp and lens from the fixture.
- Install the RETRO-HPL LED engine directly into the fixture according to the product instructions.
- Restore the fixture’s lens or trim as applicable and test dimming performance.
