The RETRO Is Accessorizing — RETRO series accessories from Canto USA

What began as a collection of custom options for Canto USA’s RETRO Series has continued to grow. Today, customers have two ways to tailor an installation: the Culla Pendant Series for architectural pendant and recessed applications, and a separate line of RETRO accessories designed to help adapt our LED retrofit engines to existing fixtures.

Both give installers more flexibility when working with older lighting systems, unique fixture dimensions, or spaces that need a cleaner finished look.

The Culla Pendant Series

The Culla Pendant Series is proudly made in the USA and designed for use with Canto USA’s RETRO Series as well as E26 screw-in light engine applications.

Its compact aluminum cylinder gives the fixture a clean architectural appearance without making the housing itself the center of attention. Standard Culla Pendant fixtures are intended for indoor pendant applications and require a minimum 6-inch drop.

Standard finishes include black or white powdercoat, with custom colors available for projects that call for something different.

Culla Pendant and Yoke Options

The standard Culla Pendant uses a heavy-gauge aluminum cylinder designed for indoor pendant installations. Its simple shape works well in auditoriums, gathering spaces, architectural environments, and other areas where the fixture will remain visible.

The Culla Pendant Yoke Series uses the same compact cylinder design with a yoke mounting configuration. It is also intended for indoor applications and is available in standard black or white powdercoat finishes, with custom colors available when needed.

Both options are made in the United States.

Culla Recessed Downlight Kit

For recessed applications, Canto USA also offers the Culla Recessed Downlight Kit.

The kit includes adjustable hanger brackets and a rigid two-piece pan designed for a dependable recessed installation. Its deep adjustable hanger arrangement helps reduce lamp glare while maintaining useful light output from reflector-style lamps.

The recessed kit also includes an easy-access 14-gauge galvanized steel junction box with two snap-on covers.

RETRO Accessories for Existing Fixtures

The Culla Series handles the pendant and recessed fixture side of the product line, while Canto USA’s RETRO accessories provide additional options for fitting RETRO-Fusion® 2.0 and RETRO-Passive® 2.0 LED engines into existing fixtures.

These components make it easier to work around differences in fixture depth, socket type, reflector requirements, and other installation details without treating every retrofit as a one-size-fits-all job.

Custom Options Are Still Part of the RETRO Approach

Every venue is a little different. Existing houselights can vary in socket position, fixture depth, reflector size, mounting style, and the amount of space available around the LED engine.

That is why customization continues to be an important part of the RETRO Series.

From RETRO Pendant Accessories to the Culla Series

Some of the pendant and cylinder products previously offered as RETRO Series accessories have now been updated into the Culla Pendant Series.

The change gives those products their own dedicated line while keeping them compatible with Canto USA RETRO light engines and E26 screw-in applications.
