What’s included when you unbox a Canto followspot
This video walks through the Canto followspot unboxing process and shows how to identify the parts included with each unit. Shawn Harmon explains the box count for one or more followspots and helps you confirm that everything arrived before assembly and setup.
For each unit, you should expect four boxes: a stand box, a power supply or ballast box, a smaller box for the boomerang used to change gels during the show, and the largest box containing the fixture head. The video also notes that the fixture head box includes a white styrofoam insert with the spigot and sizing iris, which should not be discarded.
Also included are the gel pack, warranty, and operations manual. The video adds one important note about LED followspots: they come with an internal ballast, so you will receive three boxes per followspot instead of four. If anything is missing, the video recommends contacting a Canto dealer or Canto directly.

Hi! Shawn Harmon here with Canto USA to talk about Canto followspot unboxing. Today we're talking about how to unbox our Canto followspot. The first thing you need to know is that there are 4 boxes for every unit. So, if you have one unit you have 4 boxes. If you have 2 units you should have 8 boxes. Okay! For each unit you should have 1 square box that's kind of long, if you're looking at it from the top, that'll have your stand in it. Okay! Another box would be shorter fatter and that will have your power supply in it, your ballast. There will be an even smaller box that'll have your boomerang, for changing your gels during the show. Then the biggest box will have your fixture head in it. Inside that box is also a piece of white styrofoam that has your spigot and your sizing iris. Do not throw these away, you will need this. Also included typically in that box is your gel pack, your warranty, and operations manual. Thank you for watching this video!
